My go-to countertop and sink supplier
Not only do I look for great connections within my line of work, I also look for great people to work with at those connections. It makes all the difference not only for myself but for my clients! Every connection I have is a small extension of what makes up PID and knowing you have someone knowledgeable to turn to that has your back when you may not have all the answers, can make all the difference.
I really only turn to one stone company and that's Astonia. Now, don't get me wrong, I have other connections within the countertop industry but Astonia has always been my go to. They've been in business for over 15 years serving the Twin Cities area (as well as traveling to other states and Canada for projects) and the owner, Eric, has been in the cabinet / countertop business for the last 31 years. He originally started in laminate countertops to now owning his own successful granite shop. They've won numerous awards such as fabricator of the year and award of excellence.
Astonia offers materials for all kinds of scenarios from residential, commercial, multi unit buildings, office buildings, libraries, reception areas, and more. No matter the occasion they offer a great line of stones/sinks, they educate every customer on the pros and the cons of each product, and no matter the circumstance or budget, they will work with you and ensure your countertops are in when you need them.
Astonia is a relatively small company, however, you'd never know it unless you visit their shop! If you get a chance to go on your own or come with me to shop around you'll get to meet Shelley, my stone expert and sales manager. What makes Shelley so great is that she'll tell you how it is but in a gentle way. ;)
She often says that she's sometimes "too honest" when showing clients around and giving the in's and out's of each product. She's not your typicall saleswomen, she makes sure each client knows each product, how to maintain it, and if it'll be a good addition to your home. Not every countertop is meant for everyone and she'll make sure you get the perfect countertop material that will work with your everyday life, at the right price and in the right style. Seriously, she's the best!
