Edina Kitchen Remodel - Gould part 1
This kitchen remodel was a long time coming!
My clients hated the aesthetics when they toured before buying and relocating to Minnesota, but it wasn’t until they moved in and used the space that it was not functional either.
Some of the issues were:
Vent hood too far from range so it is not effective
Cabinets that were too deep so things got lost
Cabinets that are were too close to another, preventing it from opening all the way
Subzero fridge worn on the inside and too expensive to fix
Then there was the aesthetics... the dental molding on the crown was just too ornate, then add in the millions, rosettes, and fluting and it was overload. The tile and orange stain just brought it to the level where the clients just could not stand it any longer.
We toyed around with numerous remodeling scenarios for quite some time, but ultimately we knew paint and backsplash would not be enough!
We had used Landmark Remodeling on prior small projects such as a basement floor and powder room remodel so we were set on the contractor!
Aric from Pro Design Custom Cabinetry joined the team and we worked closely from my proposed floor plan to create a space the allowed for more usable counter space, rollout trays, symmetry, and timeless cabinetry styling.
