DESIGN TIP TUESDAY-
Following your passions!
There's something so satisfying about styling your own space EXACTLY the way you want it. Interior Design is something I have always been enamored with, because it brings me a tremendous amount of joy and pushes my creativity. I didn't know I had a talent in it, until I started styling my own studio space and saw very quickly what my design style is.
Friends would come into my tiny 470 square foot apartment and ask, "Ummmm, why aren't you getting paid for this?! Will you come style my place?" I never thought about it as an option for a career solely because it seemed unattainable.
My family has moved several times across the country since I was born, so I became a very outgoing person because of it. After college, my career has been with Wedding Planning and Events. I have loved working with people and seeing their faces light up when I have done a good job and have given them what they've asked for. Recent events in our world have given me the opportunity to start at the beginning and ask myself, "What will truly make me happy?" Interior Design is the answer. My hope is that the same satisfaction comes with clients in this new career!
Stay tuned for Part 2, where I talk all things, designing in small spaces! I will take you inside my brownstone apartment and give you a little more insight to who I am through the eyes of interior design!
Thank you for joining in and reading! I hope you got an insight into what we do, who we work with, the reality behind making old spaces new, and how awesome are clients are!
