Minneapolis Laundry Remodel - Part 2

Remodeling during the pandemic is not easy...especially when you have a demanding job and subcontractors doing different portions.

This space went from a typical South Minneapolis dark, dingy basement laundry to a clean, modern, refreshed space that serves as the powder bathroom and passthrough laundry.

We stayed cost effective with Ikea cabinetry and trade discounted lighting, tile,

Mood Boards:

Although it looked AMAZING almost done, I just new adding in the dramatic wallpaper from Mahone's would take it over the top. The fun fish motif is so unexpected and a statement!

I loved how the client was willing to take a risk and trust it would have the desired reward.

And bonus, I found a new wallpaper subcontractor who I have now referred out and client's are loving!

Contrast was definitely the theme in this space. It is a small space, so making sure it didn't feel cramped or dark was important.

Tiling the vanity wall with white elongated subway that the wall sconces could bounce light off of in addition to the mirror was important.

We also did white trim to separate the black floor and the black wallpaper.

It was so fun to see this space come to life and hit all the wants and needs. I think the powder bath, although hidden in a basement is a surprise when you open the pocket door, not know what situation is going to present itself on the other side!

Thank you for joining in and reading! I hope you got an insight into what we do, who we work with, the reality behind making old spaces new, and how awesome are clients are!
