Client- Miranda Smith: Portland, OR to Denver, CO

When it came to the powder bath Portland, OR client Miranda wasn't willing to add color, BUT she was willing to do a wallpaper. We searched high and low and landed on a black and white brushstroke pattern from Wayfair. It may seem really busy in the picture, but it is so much better in person. Trust me!

Miranda found a local wallpaper installer and turns out he is about to retire and clued Miranda in on something everyone in my industry knows...the trades are in dire need to new blood. There are hardly any people skilled in installing and removing wallpaper in Portland, a problem I have here in Minneapolis too.

We kept constant with the matte black hardware that we had implemented in the rest of her house and went next level with a statement light from Rejuvenation.

At her open house this room was the most adored which was funny because we were worried it might be too much Miranda's taste!

Which brings me to a quick sales pitch for wallpaper...use it! It can be just a feature wall or a whole room. It can even go on the back of bookcases or the ceiling! I will be blogging on this in the future with my favorite places to source wallpaper and spaces I have used it in.
