Rogers Kitchen Remodel - Mauss part 1
As many of you know I am a working mom of 3 kids. My husband works non traditional hours coaching gymnastics and managing the facility. So, when Weston was signed up to do basketball at his school on Friday nights I was the designated parent to get him there and watch. Now, full admission, I did watch, but I used it also as catch up time on emails, scheduling consults, etc. I also visited with the other parents sitting on the gym floor, butts going numb.
One Friday night, one of the mom's I visited with, Kristi, inquired about what exactly I did and how my process works. She said she followed me on Instgram and thought her kitchen remodel (she desperately wanted) would be something I usually do. We put a consult on my calendar and resumed watching the poor coaches try and wrangle the young players.
We met, along with her husband Jim, and went over the wants/needs/wishes, budget, timeline, and who they wanted to do the work.
They wanted one of my recommended contractors and after interviewing, went with Stoltz Installation & Carpentry. This was Stoltz's first kitchen remodel and I was excited for them!
This project was almost entirely done during the stay at home order of the Covid-19 Pandemic. If you have ever remodeled your kitchen you know how crazy and stressful it is. Add in all 5 family members being home all the time either working or doing school... all down in the basement while workers make noise and mess upstairs.
It was interesting and a memory I bet they will never forget!
