Rogers Kitchen Remodel - Mauss part 2

Doing a remodel during Covid-19 stay at home order was not for the faint at heart! We had already done the demo, so leaving them without a kitchen for an unknown period of time, was not an option.

We (myself and Stoltz Installation & Carpentry) made sure the proper protocols were in place for everyone's safety. That meant having the family down in the basement all day, with two parents doing work form home and three kids doing digital learning.

Coordinating subs so that only one would be there at a time, wearing masks, sanitizing hands, was a juggling act to keep the project on schedule. I tried to limit client check-ins, and it killed me! I was asking for updated pictures from both the contractor and the homeowner constantly.

Another frustration was the delay on products. My flooring source usually is a 5-7 day turnaround time, but it almost tripled due to Covid.

All good things come to those who wait, right?

During Pictures:

Wants:

-updated cabinets -Custom Alder cabinets from Pro Design Custom Cabinetry

-solid surface counters- Quarts from Astonia

-move stove to perimeter so island can be usable counter space- YEP!

-hidden garbage and recycling- In island

-removal of wallpaper- Went better than we all thought!

-one flooring throughout- sourced and order the same CoreTec from lakeshore Interiors

Needs:

-floor separation fixed- SOLVED!

-new dishwasher- ALL new appliances from Warner's Stellian

Wishes:

-removal of popcorn ceilings- What a job...but did and made an amazing impact

-new carpet in adjacent den- Done after project!
