What we are thankful for at PID...

In a year that is been anything short of predictable I wanted to stop and reflect. This will be the first year EVER I won't spend with my family in North Dakota. We have driven through blizzards, through the night, tolerated a screaming child (or 3) for 4 hours, both ways... nothing could stop us from taking time to be with our family members and carry on decade-old traditions.

This year I will cook our Thanksgiving "Feast" myself for just us five. While I do have a lot to be grateful for professionally and personally, I can't help but have a moment of sadness.

I am blessed to have a supportive husband, who has taken on being teacher for distance learning so I can run PID. He works crazy hours, often late at night to facilitate this.

I have three amazing kids, who like every parent, think they are the best in the world... I just happen to have many people agree with me too!

I also have two amazing PID team members, Hailey and Libby, who are all in and inspire me to keep being what they think I am and grow what we all see as unlimited potential. Their excitement in taking over divisions of PID isn't scary or a gamble for me... it is an opportunity for them to be as invested as I am and build something like I did 13 years ago.

I also am grateful to all PID extended team members. I run my business on two quotes:

"A rising tide lifts all ships" and "Work hard and be nice."

I have so many contractors, sub contractors, trade managers, salespeople, and showrooms, who help PID give clients trade discounts, free samples, timely quotes, preferred installation times, craftsmanship, peace of mind, etc. Their business benefits and I have people I know and trust.

Lastly, we have the BEST clients. They trust me with their homes...their refuge. They allow our PID visions to come to life, to continue adding and growing our services, and refer us make our small word of mouth business bigger and better. They welcome us into their spaces, sometimes uncertain of what we even do or how we can help. They trust us with their time, money, and family.

My prayer for all who are reading this is to quick say thanks, to see the good, even in a time when it may seem there is so much bad.

Love,

It's safe to say not getting together with family for Thanksgiving is going to be nothing short of heartbreaking. While this years holiday season may be different than usual, it's always a good idea to reflect back on the happy moments this year had to offer.

I'm grateful for my friends and family who have helped support me throughout the years and have watched me grow into the person I am today.

I'm also grateful for the job that I have because it allows me to be creative, adventurous, and passionate. When someone asks me what I do I get giddy because what I do is rewarding. I get the reward of meeting amazing clients and I get to help give them a space they've always dreamed of and I get to help make it a reality. I get to watch the transformation from start to finish just like the clients do. No matter how many remodels I'm apart of I can't help but smile and say at the end "I helped create this".

Working with Jeanna, Libby, contractors and sales reps (and so many more) has opened my eyes to what's possible. I didn't go to school for interior design and for Jeanna to take a leap of faith on my passion is something I will never take for granted. Everyone I've talked to within this industry helps light the fire under me to push the limits of what can be done. I've learned a lot over the year being under PID and I know I'm just scratching the surface of what's to come.

I hope everyone takes a moment to reflect on the good (and even the bad) moments this year had to offer. This holiday season isn't ideal but it's still important to keep pushing forward.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite holidays, I love getting to spend the day with family to dwell on the things that we are all thankful for. This year is a little bit different for all of us but through all of the fear and unknowns, being thankful is something that we can all do.

First off, I am so thankful for all of my family and friends. I don't know what I would do without them. The encouragement, positivity, and love that I receive from all of them is unbelievable.

I am so thankful for Pinnacle Interior Designs, and the people that I have met through this business. The PID clients are truly amazing and I love getting to help them transform their spaces! I am also thankful for Jeanna and Hailey, who have welcomed me whole-heartedly onto their team and I am forever grateful for both of them!

Something that I think is so important especially at this time is to just be thankful for things that we do have, and not dwell on the things we don't. Things could always be better or worse, but being thankful and having a positive outlook truly helps you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
